Packaging Design, She Sanitary Pads

This was a group project consisting of two graphic designers and one product designer. We individually worked out concepts for the packaging and graphics for sanitary pads. A final packaging and graphics was chosen in the end.
Problems with the existing packaging-
1. Not eco-friendly
2. Brands lack visual differentiation
3. Too much unwanted information given all over the packaging
4. Important information not highlighted
5. Inner wrapping provided is useless as most users use newspaper to dispose pads

Mock ups
Concept mock up
The existing color schemes in the market lack differentiation with alot of green and blue. We used a gradation from yellow to red for the three range of pads.
Packaging graphics variations.
Final packaging. A pad dispenser which can be stored on bathroom and cupboard shelves.
The pads have a primary packaging of cardboard, which wil also be sold separately as refill packs. One by one, the pads can be neatly removed from the pad dispenser, without messing up the rest of the pads. The wrapping of pads is done in recycled paper, making the disposal eco- friendly. The inner packaging is folded to make a slot for the disposal of old pad in it.

Information is made minimal. The graphics do not show a sanitary pad photo so that women who are  self-conscious about carrying sanitary pads from markets will be more at ease.
